Finding Your Voice Again
“Speak up for the people who have no voice,
for the rights of all the misfits.
Speak out for justice!
Stand up for the poor and destitute!” -Proverbs 31:9
Once you've rendered yourself powerless, useless, and a myriad of other adjectives that may describe your current not permanent state, I feel you begin the journey to self discovery. You struggle to find use in YOUR words. You look to others to ascribe meaning to who
you are, and what it is that you bring to the table.
Some of us long to be affirmed by others so much, that we often forget to look in the mirror and affirm ourselves. We forget that we have the power to speak LIFE into our own selves and often times we relinquish our power over to others. This leads many of us down a path we never intended to be on. A path God never intended you to be on. I believe that if you are reading this, God wants you to find your voice again.
That very thing that you went through, was designed for you not to forget whose you are, who you belong to, and that whatever that thorn is, it's powerless compared to all that God has in store for you. There were moments in my life where I struggled to find the words to speak. Wounds so deep I didn't think I'd ever see my way out or through. I became accustomed to tasting the salt of my tears. I grew so weary, my eyes were blood shot from crying so much.
Sometimes we don't have the words to speak to God, but the bible reminds us of a few things,
Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. - Romans 8:26-28
Be encouraged today in knowing that even in this condition, in this moment when you don't have the words. When tears are all you've got, with GOD you can trade it in for something beautiful. Ain't that amazing, We can literally take the ruins of a thing and say here God this is all I've got, I offer it to you. He takes the ruins and ascribes beauty to them. God is too good !
Be blessed and as always remember You've got this because GOD's got YOU !
